About Us

American Buttoneer is the business and mission of Kristin McGowan, a graphic designer who creates and sells pinback buttons, magnets, and stickers. Her subject is American politics from a democratic perspective. Kristin was a diehard volunteer with the Hillary Clinton campaign; she started this project in the aftermath of the cataclysmic 2016 election.

You can find the American Buttoneer booth in New York City's Washington Square Park every weekend (weather permitting), as well as a couple other days during the week that change up. Or, browse right here at americanbuttoneer.com. Buttons and magnets are available online now; stickers are coming soon.
